Lumis Studios Website

The studio's own production website — built and shipped by Lumis Studios.

2025

Overview

Lumis Studios needed a web presence that matched the quality of the work it ships for clients — fast, polished, and production-ready from day one. The site was designed and built in-house: five pages covering the studio's services, work portfolio, about, and contact — with deep-linked case study pages for every project. It runs on the latest Next.js App Router with full static generation, end-to-end SEO coverage, and smooth Framer Motion entrance animations throughout.

Our Role

Designed and built the complete site — page architecture, component library, animation system, SEO metadata layer, OG image generation, sitemap, JSON-LD structured data, and Vercel deployment.

Key Features

Case Study Pages

Each project has a dedicated deep-dive page covering overview, role, key features, architecture, and highlights. Case studies are statically generated at build time from a typed data layer — no CMS required.

Framer Motion Animations

Page entrance animations and scroll-triggered reveals across all sections. Staggered feature cards, fade-up text blocks, and smooth layout transitions give the site a premium feel without compromising load performance.

Full SEO Coverage

Per-page metadata, Open Graph and Twitter Card tags, canonical URLs, a machine-generated sitemap.xml, robots.txt, and a dynamic OG image rendered server-side via Next.js ImageResponse — all wired up for Google Search Console.

JSON-LD Structured Data

Organisation and WebSite schema injected into the root layout. Per-project metadata on case study pages. Structured data helps search engines understand the studio's identity, location, and content hierarchy.

Responsive Component Library

A set of reusable primitives — Container, Button, Tag, Card, SectionHeader, Section — built specifically for this site. Every component is typed, responsive, and consistent across all five pages.

Vercel Production Deployment

Deployed on Vercel with a custom domain (lumisstudios.site), automatic HTTPS, edge CDN, and preview deployments on every push. Zero infrastructure to manage — the site is always live and globally fast.

How It Was Built

Built on Next.js 16 App Router with the TypeScript template. All pages are React Server Components by default — only sections with animations are marked 'use client'. Tailwind CSS v4 is configured via @theme inline in globals.css with no tailwind.config.ts. Framer Motion 12 handles all animations with Variants typed explicitly to satisfy the strict Framer type system. The SEO layer uses Next.js built-in Metadata API with per-directory layout.tsx files acting as transparent wrappers that export metadata without forcing client components. The OG image is a Next.js ImageResponse route that renders a branded 1200×630 PNG at build time. The sitemap and robots files are TypeScript modules that Next.js converts to XML and text at the /sitemap.xml and /robots.txt routes automatically.
